Thursday Thoughts

A couple weeks ago I met a beekeeper at a craft show. Did you know I'm very interested in beekeeping? The recent plight of the honeybees has made me wonder what in tarnation is going on with them. The lady that I met lives very close to me, in a suburban area, and loves her bees. You never know, someday I may acquire a new hobby. Until then, I'll stick with this lovely Almond Body Butter and Honey Bee Spice Soap. If only you could have a whiff of their delicious fragrance....

Today was a good day. I met a good friend for lunch. We haven't seen each other in over a year. It took us a while, but we caught up with each other's doings. I brought my camera, mentioned to Diane that I wanted to get a picture.....and never did. Too much talk and not enough action apparently.

My continued thanksgivings are...

...friends, where would we be without them
...nail polish~a little pleasure I enjoy
...needle and thread, need I say more
...my faith, because without it I'd be completely inconsolable
...environmentally-friendly dish soap that I found at Costco
I love it and feel so green when I use it

A shortie post today. I'm off to knit the heel flap on my current socks. There's lots to be done around here, but somehow it feels like that heel flap is the most important right now.

Oh my goodness Amy...I think we were separated at birth...I am always preaching about protecting the bees and how worried I am about Colony Collapse Disorder...really, this is starting to get wierd! But, just another reason to love you my friend!!!

So glad you had a good day...heel flaps are a bugger for me...I bet you have no problem at all!

Love,
Susie

You really want to be a beekeeper? Go for it. I would be afraid. What is it that attracts you to the bees? Could it bee their honey.:) I love that soap and I bet it smells so nice. Thx for sharing and have a great day tomorrow. Take care.

We used to live next door to a beekeeper. It was fun buying honey from him, knowing that his bees had visited our flowers.

I would have done the same thing with the picture taking...I am too busy talking and forget to take them. It is nice to get together with friends.

And I love bees and especially their honey.

Hugs, Susan

Amy, hi! Glad to be back again posting comments!

I really enjoyed this post because I too am fascinated with bees. I love the waxy thing you USED to be able to buy with the honey. Now it's hard to find honey with the 'comb' inside the jar. I too would love to have a couple of hives for my garden. I guess city living precludes that. Neighbors probably wouldn't like knowing I had bee hives nearby. LOL!
Enjoy your weekend!

Dear Amy,
I love bees too.. such hard workers. The soap looks so nice, shame to use it. Amy I tried to scan pattern for cup bag, but it is a copy of a copy I have , and rather long for me too retype. If you send me an address I will gladly post to you.
God Bless

I've been thinking about keeping bees, too. I have beekeeper friends who share their wonderful honey, but think it would be so great to have them here on the farm, (though, I will admit to having some fear "issues").
