Thinking About Teacups


I am taking a page out of Susie's book and joining in the fun with Teacup Tuesday. Most of my teacups were generously given to me by my father-in-law after my mother-in-law passed away. Evelyn loved beautiful dishes, especially teacups. This pretty little cup is perhaps my favorite.


The inside has a sweet little flower....to enjoy the view whilst you sip, I suppose.


The bottom is interesting, too. The cup is hand numbered, and I wonder if the name of the pattern is "Elizabethan?"

I am pleased to say I have at least one finished object to report. As I mentioned, I lost my other one, so this sweet scarf is a keeper for me....

...and the little snowman pin is a favorite. He came along a few years ago during a pre-season clearance sale. He's resided on this coat ever since. I'm always so happy to see him, despite the cold weather.


Today is pretty gray and cold here. The weather makes me mellow and introspective. A good thing, because there's lots to think about. I'm keeping my thoughts on the positive today.... Hope you are, too.

Dear Amy...I think you teacup is so pretty...that was so nice of your Father-in-Law.
Your scarf looks warm and cozy! It was gray and cold here today as well.

Oh now neat. I love teacups. I have some as well that were made in England, and of course a set that goes back to the 60's but I believe it was made in China;(. Bummer.;)What is teacup Tuesday? Anyway that scarf looks warm. It was cold and dreary over here as well. Take care and have a great evening.

Dear Amy,
Ilove tea cups too. It takes me back to a sweeter time. I have decided to use mine more, and enjoy using as well as looking at them.
