Pear Honey. Never heard of it until I was over here. I made the recipe on Tuesday and, BOY, is it good! The suggestion was to serve it on warm biscuits...I'm making those tonight. Last night I made cornbread, and it was delicious on that.
I picked up this book long ago and found it while cleaning the sewing room. I started one to dress up a jar for my aunt...and I'll need a few more for others. So far it's working up quickly.
There are flowers that go around the bottom and I think I'll make them in fall shades. The cotton in the picture looks white, but it is actually a beige, natural color.
Today is a big day around here. My baby boy is 19! Lots of good memories to share and some personal reflection for Mom. It seems I can't help feeling just a smidgeon melancholy...I miss those baby days. Then when I take a good look at the man Timothy is becoming, I feel proud, too. Emotional, for sure, but it's all GOOD.

What a neat gift these jars of pear honey with crocheted toppers will make.
Happy Birthday to your son! My baby turned 20 a few months ago, so I know how you feel.
Oh I like the way the jars of pear honey look. Who knew? The doilies that are going to go around it are beautiful. I have some apples that I picked, now you have inspired me to make so apple jam. Thank you.
The honey looks delicious, but I had to comment to say that "Love You Forever" was one of Em's favourite bedtime stories. I'm sure it's still around here somewhere :)
Such pretty doilies and your pear honey looks wonderful! Me likes the size and shape of your canning jars too.
Amy, you are much like me. I find it hard to believe that my babies are grown. Time went by much too fast for my taste. I always tease my little one (the youngest) that he might be 60 years old, but if I'm around, he'll always be my baby.
Hi Amy,
Thanks so much for stopping by for a little visit...we seem to like and do so much of the same things...come by anytime!
Blessings,
Susie
You've been a busy girl! That pear honey looks divine -- it's making my monitor sticky LOL. Love the little baby set and your chicken pot pie looks YUMMY!!! And Happy Belated Anniversary!
Amy,
The pear honey looks delicious...I can't wait to try it.
Your kind words and prayers for my dad mean so much to us all. With love and gratitude,
Deb
Dear Amy,

I love the crochet for the jars, and you can start spinning on a little hand spinner. I tried that out first, and moved on to I think I have wheels and one electric one my hubby made. Its very relaxing and makes wonderful socks, hats ect.
Great rread thankyou
