Idalia also included several handmade yo-yo's and some Earl Grey cream tea, from the English Tea Store. I know I'm ringing the same 'ole bell, but I am so blessed these last months, I can hardly believe it.
The only certain thing about life these days is that it's very uncertain. My days don't seem to be my own anymore, and I'm trying to take it all in stride. Jesus told us not to heed earthly cares, for He is our bread of life.....we have all we need as long as we have Him. As you know, my blessings are abundant, and here's a few of them...

My dishwasher...I realized tonight as I loaded her up how happy I am to have this convenience.....I mean, a girl can only do so many dishes by hand
Hot tea....heaven on earth
#2 pencils....freshly sharpened with a soft eraser (because I make a lot of mistakes : 0)
Next time I hope to have some picture of my finished Christmas decorations. I made good headway today. I'm keeping you all in my prayers....

Amy, I hope you all are feeling better soon. Here is a Martha Stewart recipe for a Hard Sauce. I went to a Christmas Tea where Bread Pudding was served with this sauce. It was delicious.
2 sticks of butter, softened
2 cups sifted confectioner's sugar
1 large egg yolk
4 tablespoons heavy cream
4 tablespoons Cognac
Whip the butter and confectioner's sugar together until smooth and creamy. Beat in egg yolk, cream and Cognac. Put sauce in a tightly covered jar and refrigerate.
Remove from refrigerator at least one hour before serving.
Makes 2 cups.

I had meant to tell you about the Martha Stewart recipe when I first commented. Guess I got sidetracked, what with my muddled thinking lately. I remember long ago she had done a segment on English plum pudding, and it looked good! Victoria magazine used to have some good recipes for it too.
