My hands have surely been busy. First, a hat I finished for the hubby. I used Patons Classic Wool held together with Patons Decor, which made for a very cushy, soft hat....he likes it.
One half of a pair of knitted slippers, part of the after-Christmas gifts I need to finish. The color on this picture isn't true, in real life it's a little brighter...this was also made holding two strands together. The gang from work came up with the idea for a Progressive Party. Since that's happening this Saturday, I got busy with some inexpensive hostess gifts. My busom buddy Sherry gave me the idea. You use tumbled tiles, a paper image of your choosing, and decoupage glue. This was a very fun and easy project. I will be making more.
Here they are all wrapped in little checked bags...I made the cards, but I could use a class in cardmaking. The other little bags are filled with candy for placecard favors.
My heart is especially happy these days...it's heavenly to be home and tending to my loved ones. I haven't put my Christmas things away yet...I toyed with the idea of leaving them up until Epiphany, but I don't think I can hold out. Once the party is over on Saturday, I know I'll be eager to put away and organize. I have decided to move my sewing to the basement...it's too tight a squeeze in our bedroom. More on that later. For now, I want to wish you all a very Happy New Year, filled with much love, happiness, good health and blessings.

I really like the colors of the hat. The slippers look warm and cozy to wear! Well, you have been busy. That is always good. Glad to read your posts Amy! They are always a treat!
Oh the coasters came out just great. I love the sunflowers. I am going to put those on my to do list. I have an idea to embellish them even more. I'll share with you later. you did a wonderful job on the wrapping! Love...Sherry
I hope your progressive party is really fun. I need to declutter around here too. I love the holidays, but the house is small and the decorations are large! Im going to keep the winter spirit up with snowfalkes and snowmen things in the kitchen. :)
Happy New Year! Is your home one of the stops for the progressive party? Have fun.
Amy, welcome back. Those tile ideas are very creative and they look really good. It's a real good idea. I've already taken everything down and now it is on with life and everything that goes with it. Nice to hear from you again. Take care.Enjoy your year.
Hello Amy!
Happy new year to you and your family! You truly have been keeping your hands busy! I have been doing quite a bit of knitting myself! I know your hubby is enjoying his new hat! I found a new hat pattern I plan to knit for myself, but it is about three projects down the line!:o) Enjoy your weekend!
Smiles...
Beverly
My, my, you're really starting the new year with a crafty bang! I sure wish I was as motivated as you although I must say that my hands are itching to make something. Seeing your beautiful knitting projects makes me want to bring out the yarn and needles again. Your hubbies hat sure looks snuggly and warm.
I'd like to wish you a very happy and prosperous New Year.
Aloha!
Your coasters turned out so nice....I definitely will be making some of these. And I really wish I could knit....I look at the things you made and wish I had learned. I know how to crochet though I have not done that in a very very long time, and I love to sew but like I said, just never learned to knit. Maybe someday, who knows. Sounds like you're having fun with your New Year's crafts!
Elaine
